100 Women in Finance Webinar: The Power of Impact Investing: A Better Version of Investing
Monday, May 18, 2020, 1:00 P.M. CDT
Hosted by the 100WF Bermuda Committee

Impact Investing: it’s a mindset. It’s the perfect tool to nurture entrepreneurs and invest for financial and social returns, especially in a time of crisis. Although it seems paradoxical to think of investing as having an emotional value, increasingly, the rise of impact investing has empowered investors and individuals to ask more from their money to generate GOOD.

Explore the power of impact investing to better society and also provide greater financial and emotional returns. Learn about the importance of conscious leadership, especially in difficult times like the COVID-19 pandemic. According to speaker, Eva Yazhari, CEO of Beyond Capital, impact investing is the perfect tool for families, high net worth individuals, and even skeptical investors who seek to unlock its power through a robust combination of impact, conscious investment practices and due diligence.

100 Women in Finance Webinar: US and Global Trends in ESG in View of COVID-19 and Climate Change
Monday, June 1, 2020, 11:00 AM CDT
Hosted by the 100WF Chicago Education Committee

ESG investing represents a fundamental paradigm shift across all industries globally. More empirical data suggests that ESG is proven to lead to risk reduction and long-term financial outperformance, a trend that board directors and investors cannot ignore.

ESG issues affect strategic and operational decisions, including responding to climate change, implementing effective health and safety policies, and having a corporate culture that builds trust and fosters innovation. Other aspects are disaster preparedness, labor management, business continuity planning and supply chain dislocation, which responses to COVID-19 have thrust forward.

Take a deeper dive at this virtual roundtable on topics in sustainable investing:

  • Key trends in the ESG space (e.g., climate change and the path to net zero, corporate governance, ESG disclosures, ESG engagement and integration)
  • A global perspective on the ESG landscape – which regions are leading the way and why
  • Climate risk factored with current and upcoming rules and regulations (e.g., PRI, TCFD)
  • Longer-term implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on key ESG factors

The speakers will include Laura Craft of Heitman, Alessia Falsarone of PineBridge Investments, John Hoeppner of LGIMA, Viola Lutz of ISS ESG and the moderator, Nidhi Chadda of Enzo Advisors LLC.
