100 Women in Finance: Global Conversation with Chief Economists – Part 1: Constance Hunter, KPMG LLP
Part 1 hosted by the 100WF New York Education Committee
Thursday, April 23, 2020, 11:15 A.M. CDT

Leaders of governments and business, as well as citizens, are taking aggressive measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. What will be the short-term and long-term impacts to the economy locally, nationally and globally, which are all in flux?

The health crisis, its abatement and its full impact on commerce, trade and investment are not yet clear. Unemployment is on the rise; interests rates are low, for now. The outlook is changing almost on a daily basis.

Gain insights on how to advise your clients as Constance Hunter, Chief Economist at KPMG, will discuss the changing economic climate and other factors, in the current quarter and beyond.

The 100WF NY Education committee invites all of our global members to join Part 1 of a three-part series with 3 Chief Economists. The following two parts will be hosted by other 100WF committees across the world. Please check our upcoming events for confirmed dates.

Galaxy Fund Management: Got Gold? Add Bitcoin – a Webcast with Mike Novogratz and Steve Kurz of Galaxy Digital
Tuesday, April 28, 2020, 12:00 P.M. CDT

The scope and pace of recent government intervention are unprecedented. Against this backdrop of aggressive fiscal and monetary policy action, including the historic $2 trillion CARES Act on top of the Fed’s rate cut and “unlimited” bond purchases, investors must consider the inflation risk to their portfolios. Bitcoin, alongside gold, merits consideration in a diversified portfolio. Join experienced macro investor Mike Novogratz, Galaxy Digital CEO, and Steve Kurz, Head of Asset Management, for the insider’s look at today’s market landscape and bitcoin’s future potential.

Topics to be discussed:

  • The current fiscal and monetary policy environment
  • The importance of hard assets in a portfolio
  • Gold and bitcoin as inflation hedges

Whether you’re considering adding gold or bitcoin to portfolios, or simply want to hear more about today’s markets from an experienced macro investor, this conversation will be one you won’t want to miss.

Making a difference continues to be a key part of HFA’s mission. Please join us for a virtual happy hour featuring a live DJ and networking, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the vital work of Feeding America, a nationwide hunger-relief charity that helps more than 40 million Americans including 12 million children and 7 million seniors each year. They can’t do it alone, and together we can help.

This special event will feature DJ extraordinaire JS Dunk Productions. He’s amazing and will be taking us on a musical journey through the ‘80s. He’ll be playing tracks to get all of us tapping our feet, nodding our heads, and maybe even dancing.

Registration is just $12 for HFA members and $25 for non-members. ‘80s attire is suggested. If you can’t attend please consider making a direct donation today to Feeding America.
