CFTC Simplifies, Codifies and Harmonizes Part 4 Requirements for CPOs and CTAs by Stradley Ronon

At an open meeting held on November 25, 2019, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “CFTC”) adopted two sets of final rule amendments to its Part 4 regulations governing commodity pool operators (“CPOs”) and commodity trading advisors (“CTAs”). These amendments finalize a subset of the Part 4 amendments the CFTC proposed last fall. The amendments were effective as of January 9, 2020.
