FREE: Chicago SRI/ESG – ESG Data and Ratings Breakfast Discussion
Thursday, October 10, 2019, 7:45-9:30 A.M.
Mesirow, 353 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL
Join us for our next breakfast conversation that will focus on ESG data, ESG ratings and rating methodologies.
The prevalence of ESG data continues to increase with better disclosure by companies, new and expanded offerings from research providers and the use of AI. Increasingly, asset managers are looking beyond third-party ESG ratings to examine ESG data and either develop their own ratings or incorporate ESG assessments into their security analyses. Different materiality frameworks can yield different ESG ratings based on the same ESG data. Consultants, advisors and asset owners are becoming more sophisticated in their use of ESG data and ratings.
The speakers will be: Michael Jantzi from Sustainalytics and Amisha Parekh from Bloomberg.
Please RSVP via email to Dan Nielsen at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday October 4th.

100 Women in Finance: EDUCATION SESSION #1043: Future-Proof Your Business
Thursday, October 10, 2019, 5:30 P.M. Registration, 6:00 P.M. Event Begins
Aon Center, 200 E. Randolph St., 68th Floor, Chicago, IL
The daily onslaught of news and change generates multiple signals regarding customer behavior. The new challenge is paying attention to the correct signals to predict how the future will play out in your sector. These changes manifest in two ways: on a macro scale, or long-wave signals, and as micro-behaviors, or short-wave signals. Discerning an enduring signal, rather than noise, can be difficult. As you distinguish the type of signal, you approach the why behind the force of change, a critical first step to future-proof your business.
Hear why you and your business need to pay attention to both long- and short-wave signals. Learn how to synthesize this information into strategic action that will keep your organization both nimble and thriving. Consider how to apply these insights to your firm as you network with peers over drinks and snacks.
The program will begin promptly at 6:00 PM; please allow time to get through building security and to register before the event begins. Those arriving after registration has closed will NOT be admitted and will be subject to a “No-Show Fee.”
Networking reception will follow. To register, click here.
